The Burden Nasoscope is an elegantly efficient instrument designed to facilitate blind nasotracheal intubation. It is supplied in an easy access pouch for rapid deployment, and is designed for single patient use.

The Burden Nasoscope is also known as the Blind Nasotracheal Intubation Stethoscope. The Burden Nasoscope is used to aid the medical provider during the introduction and positioning of an endotracheal tube in the patient's trachea via the nasotracheal route.

The Blind Nasotracheal Intubation procedure is a technique that is utilized in establishing and securing a patent airway in the spontaneously breathing patient. Placement of an endotracheal tube is guided by the patient's breath sounds. Oral intubation requires direct visualization of the patient's vocal cords utilizing a laryngoscope, medication, pre-oxygenation and more time and space.

The Burden Nasoscope allows the patient's breathing to be used as a guide to insert the endotracheal tube into the trachea - and not the esophagus.

The Burden Nasoscope is a disposable unit for single patient use. Each unit is assembled in a controlled environment equivalent to a class 10,000 clean room, then individually packaged in a tyvek-mylar pouch.

The Burden Nasoscope has an inline diaphragm connected to a double swivel adapter that rotates 360 degrees in two places and connects to the endotracheal tube.
